And that is an issue of subsets and profiles and the 
mechanisms created for documenting/declaring these.

XML-Devers are encouraged to consider the threads now 
occurring on the TAG list with regards to subsets and 
profiles of XML and XML application languages.  I fear 
that discussion will be overfocused on XML-SW, but start 
by considering that proposal from Tim Bray et al plus 
the responses from Paul Grosso.
