Microsoft offering software for Linux is one thing. Microsoft offering 
Linux is another. The latter is not going to happen for the foreseeable 
future.

A new version of Windows based upon FreeBSD? Maybe in several years. 
Linux? No way. Even Apple wouldn't touch Linux and Microsoft has 
stronger reasons to avoid it (like they've publically declared that the 
GPL is a cancer).
