Good stuff!  i particularly enjoyed this: "Flash is like a mid-80s Corvette: impressive but environmentally destructive. Oh sure, it gets you the chicks for a while, but ultimately most people sharing the road with you are thinking "what's *he* compensating for?"  Hah!

Anyway, i think it would serve much better if we were to concern ourselves more with the marriage of technologies, as opposed to the conflict(s) of good/bad dichotomies, etc.  For example, in recent times, i have been working on more Flash/XML technological relationships and have come up with (imo) some pretty cool things, i.e. a Flash *search engine* that searches an XML file or database and an XML-driven Flash site, to name a couple things.

i think this line of discussion is constructive though.  Methinks it only serves in helping to push the envelope even further -- and that, in the long run, will serve us all some good.
