No, I just take a slightly narrower view of what XML is.

XQuery is a toolkit for working with XML, not part of XML itself.  (The
same can be said of XSLT, though XSLT was pretty clearly part of the
original style project.)

None of that is particularly about XML, however.  With the possible
exception of XML Security, which seems to be largely an adaptation of
existing security specs to XML structures, those are all applications of
XML.  

I expect XML applications will go on for another decade or more
regardless of whether there's any change in the XML core.  It's (often)
good stuff, and it's interesting, but it's about using the
infrastructure XML provides rather than building the XML infrastructure.
