I've offered privately to do just that, either with my own resources or perhaps with my employer's resources. I find the W3C's continuous lack of interest in providing IANA-like registration procedures very strange, and can't say I'd expect the IETF to clean up the W3C's mess very happily. There's this strange delusion abroad at the W3C that URIs solve all problems, and getting past that seems a larger obstacle than the mechanics of setting up a registration system. ------------- Simon St.Laurent - SSL is my TLA http://simonstl.com may be my URI http://monasticxml.org may be my ascetic URI urn:oid:1.3.6.1.4.1.6320 is another possibility altogether
