Spurred on by all this discussion about parsing, I dug up a document
I wrote a long time ago about a way to describe regular expressions
in XML. The basic motivation was to use a SAX API for general
purpose parsing, or to turn structured text into a tree.

I'd be interested if anyone would find this useful. This is probably
not as complete as Simon's fragments work, JITTs or LMNL, but I'm
only beginning to grok those.
