Your SGML DTD also allows no content, as #PCDATA is defined as zero or
more characters. For that reason, SGML DTD developers more often use "*"
instead of "+" for a mixed content content model, even though they are
functionally equivalent. It's thought to be more descriptive - a
reminder that <bio></bio> is a legal occurrence of a bio element.
