Didier,

Interestingly I asked similar questions on XHTML-L earlier today.

It is not at all clear to me where W3C wants to go with XHTML / XML on the Web. Can anyone explain the strategy to me?

Shane McCarron was kind enough to share his thoughts on XHTML-L about a "clear evolution" of XHTML. But I was left far from clear about what the "new" XHTML will look like. At version 2? Version 5? Whatever.

Is the "weight" of HTML pages to act as a "dead weight" forever on "XML on the Web"?

If not, what solution is seen?

If there isn't a clear vision, I stay with the idea that "Don't follow me, I am lost too" might reasonably replace "Leading the Web to its full potential ...". :)
