http://www.dmtf.org/ and http://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-OSD are good starter I guess. Unsure about all the web services stuff as I gave up reading all their specifications a long time ago, they're all unreadable anyhow. -----Original Message----- From: Gustaf Liljegren [mailto:gustaf.liljegren@x...] Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2002 12:49 PM To: xml-dev@l... Subject: Software Integration Markup Language? Hello list, For a large organization, perhaps the first step in an XML integration project is to identify and describe the current systems and applications running, to see in which areas integration is possible and where it's most needed. I imagine something like a ML for the preparatory studies before starting to make Web Services (or the equivalent) of everything. A ML that is good to describe both programs, their interfaces and relations to other programs. Any pointers to such work, finished or in progress, would be greatly appreciated.
