In my case, receive an XML dataset as a simple table, transform it to 
add grouping and totalling information, then put it through a 
presentation transform that largely consists of SVG mingled with various 
control flow and data value constructs.

I'm genuinely curious how you could distinguish the svg and xslt text 
elements without some mechanism similar to namespaces.
