RE: Entities

RE:  Entities
Title: RE: Entities

If you don't want to put the entity in every document, you could also create a wrapper around you DTD, something like:
<!ENTITY extra "anyoldrubbish">
<!ENTITY oldDTD SYSTEM "mydtd.dtd">
&oldDTD;

then reference this DTD from your documents.

Subject: Entities

I have an existing DTD which I can not really alter at this time. However,
I would like to include an entity in my DTD. I believe these are usually
defined within the DTD but this is not really an option right now. Is it
possible to  still include an entity in my XML? The entity would be used
for repetitive entries into the XML.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin
