RE: Are Xalan extensions a standard feature on XSLT processors

Every
XSLT processor has its own set of extensions, and its own mechanisms to allow
users to define extensions. By definition, these are not standardised. However,
there has been a tendency for each implementation to copy the extensions
provided by others: those available in Xalan are pretty well a subset of those
in Saxon, which led the way on many of the popular extensions like multiple
output files and xx:evaluate(); and there is also a third-party library of
portable extensions provided at http://www.exslt.org.

Are Xalan extensions a standard feature on XSLT
processors?
What other XSLT processor
implements?
Thanks!
