I think that your idiom doesn't actually change *my* argument much - for instance, if I want to fetch the results of a SOAP query into XSLT, we still need support for POST in XSLT. Unless I an extension function to POST the query, and return the URL to be fetched via document()... which breaks XSLT's "no guaranteed order of evaluation" feature... Hmmm. Doesn't really make my heart sing, but food for thought. Thanks. Francis.
