RE: Capitalism and XML (was RELAX NG Marketing)
I don't think I'll post in this thread again (I always manage to get too excited with this stuff), but I'll probably be happy to read it. > From: John Cowan [mailto:jcowan@r...] > Matthew Gertner scripsit: > > > The failure of anything like communism to > > succeed on more than a minimal scale is pretty good > evidence that this is > > the case > > Communism, like capitalism, is an idea that's never been tried. For > communism, we had state bureaucracy, and for capitalism, we have > state *and* corporate bureaucracy combined with monopoly. The concept is one thing and the implementation another. Personally, I find myself rather surprised by our society system and it's various side effects as I grow up. The only thing I know that can be compared with terms like communism or capitalism is community; one of the members in my happy thought set. About XML technologies and XSD or RELAX NG in particular, they simply obey the Newton model and the laws around inertia; it's as hard to get them going as to stop and change direction. The problem is equally difficult and important on both sides. Kindest regards, Manos
