Reminds me of:

There once was a man from Japan,
Whose limericks never did scan.
When asked why it was,
He said, "It's because
I always try to fit as many words in the last line as I possibly can."

My variation on this:

There once was a man who'd report,
He was not of the limerick sort.
Though he'd write not too messily,
His last lines were excessively
Short.

I suppose I should include something XML-related. How about:

There once was a mad markup dreamer,
Who strove to exploit XML Schema.
Now while his mind boggles
He defines content models
For nail clippers and non-dairy creamer.

(Should rhyme if read with a cockney accent... :-)
