Coming from a psychotrope, I know this is presumptious. The promise of markup is that if one adheres to the syntax, past that, it is up to the consenting parties as to what is the right thing. Openness is something only the very mature and confident or the wholly uncaring can tolerate. Reality for most engagements of common interests lies somewhere in between. So perhaps one can realize the Web is just plumbing, not a lover. Then one can learn to treat the web less like a lover, and one's lover less like plumbing. Dayadhvam.h -----Original Message----- From: Simon St.Laurent [mailto:simonstl@s...] ...a focus on the open Web might at least encourage people to focus on the few things they have in common, and can solve in common, rather than the many things which keep them apart.
