The question is not is a binary useful for 
any given XML application language, but is a standard 
XML binary useful for all of them.  WML has one because 
it needs one and it is good for WML.  Generalizing that 
leads to false conclusions because the form and fit is 
not the same for the function.

What kind of apps are you doing? It sounds like binary XML wouldn't be a
win *for you* :-)

But I expect you're not doing scientific computation or image processing!
