Heh. Writing _XML Elements of Style_ was easy, after two years on XML-Dev. Haven't need to change much, either. Unfortunately, I think you're losing track of the fact that 'best practices stand on their own' for us XML-Dev folks, but not really for the rest of the world. I genuinely hope there's a better-selling book that goes into as much detail on the validating/non-validating/namespace-aware/non-namespace aware parser issues as XMLEOS (Amazon rank:111,042), but I haven't seen one yet. Most books gloss over these issues, and the few that mention them don't tend to (ma)linger on them. I'll be giving a full day tutorial on them in May - http://www.acm.org/chapters/dcacm/seminars/ Might as well profit selling aspirin, when headaches abound.
