may day call
This is the first, last, and only call for presentations for the XML track
of Developers' Day at the Tenth International World Wide Web Conference
(WWW10). The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 28 March.

WWW10 will be held 1-5 May 2001 in Hong Kong, the heart of the Asia-Pacific
region. Leaders from industry, academia, and government will present the
latest developments in Web technology, and discuss the issues and
challenges facing the web community as it moves into the 21st century. The
conference will consist of refereed paper sessions, poster sessions, panel
sessions, a W3C track and six specialized tracks: Culture track, E-commerce
on the Web, Vendors track, the Web and Education, Web Internationalization,
and the Web and Society. It will also feature presentations by keynote and
invited speakers. The first day of the conference will be a day of
tutorials and workshops, and the last day will be a Developers' Day.

This year the Developers' Day will largely be a plenary session, with
several breakout tracks in the afternoon. This call for presentations is
concerned only with the XML track. For more information about the
conference, see:

   http://www.www10.org/

Proposals should be sent directly to the chair of the XML track, Eve Maler:

    mailto:eve.maler@e...

Your proposal MUST:

- Be mailed no later than Wednesday, 28 March.
- Be in plain text.
- Include a short title suitable for the conference program and web site.
- Provide one to three paragraphs of description, suitable for use as
   a program abstract.
- Come directly from you, not your admin, boss, or marketing department.

Because this track is specially intended to showcase the latest XML
developments, we do not require presentations to be submitted in
advance. However, presenters whose proposals are accepted must be prepared
to submit their presentation in electronic form immediately following their
appearance at the conference.
