I have also posted two recent white papers on this topic, mapping UML to XML Schemas instead of (or in addition to DTDs). I created UML models for UDDI and for XHTML Basic, then used a UML profile that I've developed to generate schemas from those two models. To the best of my knowledge, the schema that I generated for XHTML Basic is the first complete W3C Schema for this specification. For the UML diagrams and generated schemas, see: http://XMLmodeling.com I am also presenting a half-day workshop on this topic at XML DevCon in New York on April 8th.
