NSUML (http://nsuml.sourceforge.net) is a XMI 1.3 library in Java which is used by ArgoUML (http://www.argouml.org), an open-source UML tool in Java. Most discussion on NSUML occurs on the ArgoUML developers list. If you want to get deep with ArgoUML, check out the argouml/src_new module from the CVS.
