With Smart Transcoder (http://www.zvon.org/index.php?nav_id=40) is the
size 
of the XML input unrestricted as the processing is SAX based.

High on the priority list is a direct 1 to n transformation but which is
not
implemented yet. You can write you own executor (in Java, C++, Python,
XSLT ) and 
assign it to the rule where it should be splitted.

If you send us the file (compressed please :), try to be smaller than
40MB)
we can build the transformation for you.

We like such testcases.
