RE: XML in O2K (was "XML in .NET")

what does o2k mean
They probably screwed up, Bob. I don't mean they didn't
know it wasn't conformant XML, but that not making that
so was "screwing up". Anyone else here ever have to go down
to the coding staff to hold a "come to the light" meeting
over implementing XML?

"THAT WILL BE TOO SLOW!!!" Sound familiar?

"The speed of a local application is insignificant to
the power of the Forc... no... ahh... to the increased
efficiency of the network of applications. Ok... (HHHH!)"
Gates is too short to wear the uniform but the sound
effects might work and he won't scare his kids at night.

How many coders does one need to screw up?

0 (compile a lot of team written code)

How many marketeers can fix a screw up?

0 (code can't be fixed in the press)

How many XML coders can fix bad XML?

All of them (that is what Draconian means)

It comes off as trying to take credit for providing the
advantages of the trendy standard without actually doing so. Of course, this
is what marketing people are paid to do.
