Depends on your defintion of age. Are we defining the age of the mortal, or the entity? Dead or not, the entity born on Sept. 6, 1950 is now 49. If you're defining age by mortality, said person is 0 (the null set representing dead). ----- Sean Messenger Senior Internet Systems Developer Massachusetts Medical Society, www.mms.org ----- smessenger@m... 781.434.7581 ----- 'If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.' > -----Original Message----- > From: David Megginson [SMTP:david@m...] > Sent: Tuesday, July 11, 2000 3:14 PM > To: XML-Dev Mailing list > Subject: Granularity > > "Bullard, Claude L (Len)" wrote: > > > Here's a fun question: a person > > is born on September 6, 1950 and died on > > September 6, 1990.
