> Does anyone have a list of limitations in XML Spy 3.0's > support for XML > Schema? I have found two limitations for XMLSpy 3.0 wich were checked with XMLspy support: - precision/scale facets are not yet supported - enumerations with spaces A third one, wich I didn't chek with XMLSpy support is Derivation of complextypes by restriction If you also have a list of more limitations I would be glad to know. > I've tried contacting the company but haven't > received any replies > to my queries. I have to say I always got an answer within the hour! so I guess they were quite busy as Alexander already said in respons to you with the XML devcon show. > It's understandable that it doesn't fully support the > features of Schema > yet, but it can be difficult in determining if validation > errors (or lack > thereof) are due to limitations in XML Spy or mistakes in my > implementation > of the schema. I know, I have the same problems. I keep testing my code to see why is does not work just to find out it is not supported. I guess we will have to wait until XMLspy reaches a state were it supports 100% of the XML schema spec, but that will be only if the XML spec reaches the recommendation fase. nonetheless XMLSpy is AFAIK the product that has implemented the most features from the XML schema spec.
