The last time I looked, it amounted to "Java is heavily integrated into Sybase 12, XML goes well with Java, there's your XML support!" (plus a few little sample Java classes). Sybase people who promised to fill me in never returned my e-mails. (I originally spoke to them when they did a presentation on ASE 12 at my place of employment, a big Sybase shop, so it's not like I was just some guy out of the blue.) This was a while ago, so hopefully there's been progress since then. I'd love to hear about it!
