Special cases surely exist; but that's the shape of it. (Switching those servers is major; they can have tens of thousands of users. Something to strongly avoid.) Oh, there's also various legal crap they've done with the documentation for their protocol extension. Read Slashdot for more. Effectively it's no longer a trade secret, due to clear lack of distribution controls, but it's clear that some court must now rule on such issues. We know who can purchase years of legal delays.
