alternate enums in XML Schema

hi,

i've been looking through the XML Schema documentation and have 
not been able to find a mechanism to do the following:

<!-- TD_PAYMENT_METHOD 6135 -->
<ElementType name="TD_PAYMENT_METHOD" dt:type="number" 
dt:values="1|BKN,2|BKT,3|CBF,4|CHF,5|COM" />

i want to create an element of type number. i want the Schema to contain
the relevant string translation information. hence, when we add a new 
set of
elements, we just update the schema and not the application.

if value == 1, then  application knows to display "BNK" ...

anyone know how to annotate this in the XML Schema? or any other way?
