A friend of mine quoted to me something attributed to J Paul Getty 
about the market crash of '29:  "When my shoeshine boy started giving 
me stock tips, I knew it was time to get out of the market."  Saved 
his fortune apparently.

Portents are Hortense.  Where's the beef?
