RE: A certain difficulty

:"XML is a cinch - but with RDF you have to make yourself a
:choice; Either
:RDF is stupid - or you are!"

Neither RDF or these engineers are stupid. This is like saying: "Ballroom
Dancing is a cinch - but with Mountaineering you have to make a choice;
either Mountaineering is stupid - or you are!".

:Despite who or what is stupid, I guess I am not as brave as the kid who
:called the king naked, in saying that the syntax and model
:specifications
:are not the documents they should be if we are going to win
:converts to the RDF cause.

What is the RDF cause?

:That this group of engineers made a sincere effort to implement RDF and
:failed, is saddening

I don't see that. I see a group of engineers who had a problem doing
modelling. Modelling is hard work and requires certain skills. It seems
naive to expect that people will automatically generate good to reasonable
RDF models just because RDF exists, in the same we can't expect well
designed web pages because HTML exists. Not that RDF doesn't have its
faults, it does, but RDF is only a language, it won't teach you how to
speak.
