seeking a validator
A reader asked me if I knew of any software that would let you take an arbitrary SAX stream or DOM tree and validate it against a DTD (heck, multiple DTDs) of the application's choosing, without relying on the DOCTYPE declaration. Please note that this is not simply a validating parser - it requires letting the application choose the DTD, probably after the document has gone through a non-validating parser. Anything out there? I haven't seen it for DTDs. Simon St.Laurent XML: A Primer, 2nd Ed.
