[XML-DEV Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] evaluating predicate on XML documents.
Hi.
Could anyone please tell me what would be the best way to evaluate
predicates based on the content of XML documents?
Xpath allow to point at part of a document, and this yields to problems:
1) the sub-document pointed at may be a tree itself, or
2) assuming it's a leaf, I see no way to express a predicate (i.e.
'xpath expression' greater than 3)
If XQL (as XML query language) were out, it could be used like in:
select true from ... where PREDICATE;
Thank-you in advance,
Jean-Marie.
