[XML-DEV Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] Re: & in the element
Hello List,
Is it not possible to have & in the node value of an element like the
one:
<DATA>AT&T<DATA>
My corresponding dtd has data defined as
<!ELEMENT DATA (#PCDATA)>
While parsing it using SUN parser gives me error:
Illegal character or entity reference syntax.
I do need to have & in the value for lots of elements. Can any one suggest
me some alternative. I cannot change the xmls, since these are generated
by some other application. I can only modify dtd. I would appreicate some
help. Thanks a lot in advance. Navreena
