Hi,

I am starting to do some R&D on XML, I would like to know some views on
the following:

Where is XML today in regards to the big procurement systems?

Can XML applications currently transfer catalogs etc. to most major
procurement systems
or is the protocol, predominately EDI forcing developers to write
additional code to interact
with these systems if they were to use XML?

If so, how soon in the future will XML be a viable solution for a small
to mid size business?

Thanks,
Bryan Kline
