[XML-DEV Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] Bad entity usage?
Help - I cannot make out what is wrong with this entity usage: -------------------------- <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE D [ <!ENTITY % AB "(A|B)"> <!ELEMENT D EMPTY> <!ATTLIST D Att %AB; "A"> ]> <D/> -------------------------- Microsoft IE5 gives an error: "Parameter entities cannot be used inside markup declarations in an internal subset." Is this true? I cannot find any such rule in the XML Rec standard. IE5 is happy if I do it in an external DTD. I would be grateful for any light on this.
