Hi, I know that XML 1.0 allows you to use 'special' characters as included in the Unicode 2.0 specification. With the upcoming release of Unicode 3.0 how will we be able to refer to characters in 3.0 which were not in 2.0 ? The same way (meaning the actual version of Unicode spec is irrelevant as long as the method used is included in XML) or some new way ? For instance, the Sinhala character set was not in Unicode 2.0 but will be in 3.0. How do I get one of those characters in an XML document ? Or is that inconsequential to the document per se as it is simply a reference and its really up to the application to render it correctly ? Baden xml-dev: A list for W3C XML Developers.
