Hi All, I guess some one can solve my problem If the Xml File is in the local directory to parse it we will write something like this (Given in SunXML lib examples) .... String uri = "file:" + new File (argv [0]).getAbsolutePath (); // turn it into an in-memory object XmlDocument doc = XmlDocumentBuilder.createXmlDocument(uri); Element root = doc.getDocumentElement(); ....... Now I want to do the same thing but I have the file at a specific URL. I have tried URL url = new URL(argv[0]); //where for e.g. argv[0] = "http://www.xyz.edu/xyx.xml" InputStream in = url.openStream(); .. XmlDocument doc = XmlDocumentBuilder.createXmlDocument(in); ... But it does not work. Does anybody has a solution for this??
