As I read the Namespaces WD, the prefix (if it is not "xml") can vary from one document to another, depending on the namespace PIs that appear in that document. So my "foo:bar" can be your "baz:bar" indeed, as long as I declare "foo" to have the same value of the "ns" pseudo-attribute that you use to declare "baz".
