I am trying to subclass InputSource to allow a File to be supplied as an alternative to a SystemId, CharacterStream, etc. (The implementation of this goes through the magic incantations to turn a file name into a URL). This is proving clumsy because the InputSource class has no default constructor. Since there is a full range of setX() methods, and given the general usefulness of having a default constructor e.g. for JavaBeans / ActiveX, should this omission be rectified?
