RE: Namespaces in XML: 3.1 the example [2]
There is not necessarily anything at the "other end" of
"http://books.org/schema/". This is simply a unique name, a URI, which
serves to distinguish any names associated with it from all other names on
the web. For example, to distinguish, in effect "title, as defined by
books.org" from "title, as defined by landuse.org."

If there is a document defining the names, that would be referenced by the
'src' attribute, as in <?xml:namespace ns="http://books.org/schema/"
prefix="B" src="http://books.org/schema/books/"?>. This document might be
human-readable text, it might be a DTD, it might be an XML-Data schema, or
it might be something else besides. A cheese sandwich, though? Probably
not.
