Not everyone wants to start with full SGML (and I think some people find it difficult to determine the SGML/XML borderlines :-) In the meantime an 'unofficial' subset could be very useful. Perhaps a WG member could speculate on whether such a property set is on the drawing board and whether constructive XML-DEV discussion on this would help.
