Bas ReteraSubject: HELP - xslt and file list
Author: Bas Retera

Hi,

I'am trying to output a html or xml file including a list of xml files (path and file name) wihtin a directory.

Example:
I have three xml files
C:\temp\1.xml
C:\temp\2.xml
C:\temp\3.xml

My xsl has to get the path en file name of those xml files and output a file like this.

<files>
<file>C:\temp\1.xml</file>
<file>C:\temp\2.xml</file>
<file>C:\temp\3.xml</file>
</files>

Is this possible and how???? Is it also possible, when a new xml file (..\4.xml) is saved in this directory, that this one is appended to the ouput file?

If you are asking if you can access an XML file (other than the default input) from XSLT, you can do that using the document() function, using any suitable XPath expression as argument.

There is no native way to make XSLT read the content of a folder; you will need to create an extension function (Java or different scripting language depending on the target processor) to do that.
