I am a newbie when if comes to XML and XSL and need some advice. I have a situation where I have a water system that may have multiple enforcement actions and violations but I am trying to figure out how to only have the water system number appear once and all of the associated enforcement actions or violations under it. The water system number is the same but if the date or violation number is different it appears multiple times. In Access I can create a report that sorts this but unfortunately when I export the report to XML it separates each instance. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

CJ
The attached XSLT generate an HTML report with violations and enforcement actions groupped by water ID.

It should be a good starting point.

Hope this helps

Your response was very helpful but now it seem they want to do the following. It makes no sense to me as I thought by creating a make table in access to extract all of the needed data it would be much easier but I am not the boss here so here is what he said this morning.

In the process of exporting (as an XML file) EnforcementActions from a table in Access, I need to be able to make a pass through a separate table, and extract a field from that table whenever there's a match on a field called ENFID (each table has a field so named).

Did I send you all three tables?

Carol
