In NDPCP D.0 there are field length limitations and I can see examples of those in the TELCO schemas built within the Stylus Studio product.

Is there a setting in the stylus studio production would could be used to force truncation if a provider of the XML content did not adhere to the expectation (15 character limit example below). This is an NCPDP documented method of handling these circumstances.

NOTE: This is part of the B1Q message.

<xsd:simpleType name="typeCB">
<xsd:annotation>
<xsd:documentation>Patient Last Name</xsd:documentation>
</xsd:annotation>
<xsd:restriction base="xsd:string">
<xsd:maxLength value="15"/>
</xsd:restriction>
</xsd:simpleType>

I've looked thru the documentation and don't see any obvious property which could be enabled.

Thank You.

Hi Daniel,

My suggestion is to write an XSLT to fix the ill XML data before it gets into the converter engine.

If you need help with the XSLT contact off-list at stylussupport@ivitechnologies.com

Hope this helps
