Hi All, just installed SS X14 Enterprise latest trial version Build on Windows 7 x64 with Bitdefender security suite and Internet Download Manager. When i go Help->Documentation SS generates a popup stating that it needs to install additional components from www.stylusstudio.com and install it into existing installation directory. When i proceed, downloads for a couple of minutes and then popup "Component instllation failed. This might have been caused by a partial or corrupted package download." I've tried this several times including attempts with Bitdefender firewall and AV turned off. Any ideas as to how i can successfully install the help components onto my system? Thanks in advance.

Richard,

It seems like that the security suite is interfering with Stylus Studio trying to download the product documentation.

The process is trying to place ide.chm into C:\Program Files (x86)\<Stylus Studio Folder>\doc

Could you try suspending the protection and let Stylus Studio complete its task?

I've got the exact same problem. I'm working on windows 7, 64 bit and using norton 360. For me it was no solution to switch off the firewall and anti-virus software. That should not be the problem I think. I expect the problem to be the 64 bit. Could you please specify separate download instruction for that help file. Thnx

Download OK, I can open up the helpfile in a standalone way not form the program

Hi Ivan,

This problem still exist!!!
After every update I have to "re-install" the help file.

But I looks like the problem is not the only of this kind. As soon as you need an additional plug-in (e.g. APache FOP) it is downloaded, but on a place that the software cann't find it.

Only when switching between major releases (2011 -> X14, X14 -> X15)
Just press F1 and the help will download automatically if you have internet access.

The same applies to some components likes Apache FOP or Java Schema Processor driver.

As soon as you invoke such functionality the on-demand download gets triggered.

I just tested X15 Enterpirse and Pro and they triggers the correct downloads
