Anthony DardenSubject: Formatting problems when creating a report
Author: Anthony Darden
Date: 13 Mar 2012 12:12 AM
In designing my report layout from my XML data source, everytime I try to left justify a particular line and center others, it keeps applying my selection to the entire report instead of the specific line or lines I am targeting. Is this a bug with the software?

I am also struggling to figure out how to create headers, footers, and having my table carry over it's column titles when the page breaks. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Antony,

The XML publisher canvas is a single text component, if you want to format just subset of the text you have to add a sub component like text, repeater or table. Each sub component retains its own formatting.

Currently XML Publisher does not support header and footer; you have to dive in FO for this.

Hope this helps
