I am very new at this. how do you capture the data from the response from a soap call to send the next to the next soap call. IE the first call returns authorization code which needs to be used in the next call.

Using XQuery you can create quite powerful web service clients.
The DataDirect XQuery processor features a set of built-in functions for all fundamental HTTP operations.
