Sean O'ConnorSubject: XSLT Mapper Option... Where is it??
Author: Sean O'Connor

I've downloaded the Stylus Studio Evaluation version. The main thing I'm looking at buying Stylus for is converting EDI files to custom XML formats and back again. However I can't find the option for the XSLT mapping tool! I've read the online documentation, watched the videos, read the help... The videos show choosing XSLT Mapping from the NEW menu.. However I only have XSLT Stylesheet. Where do I get into the mapper?? Is the evaluation version crippled to not have the mapper?
I'm trying to compare this to Altova and other products and really need to try some mapping scenarios to be sure it will fit our needs.

Thanks.

Lucky for you Sean that you have the evaluation copy. I have had so many problems with Stylus Studio and even bought an upgraded version. Don't expect any support from Stylus. It just isn't there.

The XSLT mapping tool is embedded inside the XSLT editor.
Create a new XSLT document then switch the Mapper tab.

In the example project pipelines/order/createFullOrder.xquery shows how to aggregate EDI with a flat file to generate XML in output.

To accelerate the mapping process you can use the EDI to XQuery document Wizard.
File -> Document Wizard-> XQuery-> EDI to XQuery
