Hi,

I am relatively new to Stylus development, and have some questions please.

In the past I have created some XSL:FO templates for generating pdf reports using FOP.

However, I have recently discovered the XML Report tool in stylus, which can also be used to create XSL:FO templates. The advantages i can see are the drag & drop functions of this tool, and could save time.

Question:

1. Does anyone know if this tool is good for producing XSL:FO templates?

2. My reports are quite complex, and would sometimes span many pages, would this tool be able to cope with this?

3. In your opinion, would this tool save time?

I guess I'm asking if there are any limitations I should be aware if deciding to enforce the use of this tool within our development framework.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rico

One of the XML Publisher benefits is to accelerate building the skeleton for the XSLT transformation.

Have a look at the video tutorials at

You will need to change the generated XSL-FO manually to handle these
