Ron ZimmermanSubject: changing component separator
Author: Ron Zimmerman

When creating an xml file from and x12 edi, the default for the component separator is the colon (:). Can this be changed? The problem is the colon (:) is used in remarks elements of the document causing it to create elements when it should not.

Yes

Have a look "EDI XML Converter Properties" in the XML Converter User's guide.

A lot of info about changing separators. How do you change the separator being defaulted to?

Below is a statement contained in the *.sef that was created. Is this the statement you change? If so, how would you change it to eliminate the colon (:) as a component separator?
